What is PACTware?

PACTware is a free, vendor and protocol-independent device configuration and management tool that allows users to work with both FDT/DTM and FDI integration methods in a common environment. As these technologies harmonize under FDI, PACTware provides a practical, no-cost path for users to migrate toward FDI while unifying intelligent device integration, configuration, diagnostics, and lifecycle management.

FieldComm Group is a member of the PACTware consortium and offers the industrial automation community access to the latest PACTware software for download or update. Our version of PACTware comes bundled with the components listed below.

New - PROFINET CommDTM  

This PROFINET Communication DTM enables PACTware to connect to and communicate with PROFINET devices using FDT 1.2.1.

Updated - HART CommDTM

This HART Communication DTM provides continued connectivity and communication between PACTware and HART-enabled field devices.

NEW - Generic HART 7 FDI Device Package

The Generic HART 7 FDI Device Package replaces the legacy Generic HART 4 DTM, providing improved support for HART 7 devices and enabling users to access device parameters and diagnostics through the FDI standard.

Updated - iDTM FDI

The integrated FDI iDTM component has been updated to enhance compatibility with FDI Device Packages and improve device integration within the PACTware environment.

Updated - FDI Device Package Library for HART

The HART FDI Device Package Library (version 26.3.709) contains the latest registered FDI Device Packages, expanding device support while improving compatibility with current HART instruments.
